The Battle of 2025! (Times of Israel - 24 Oct 2024)
Multiple narratives can be crafted to explain the same reality. Without a compelling narrative, our understanding of that reality is limited to mere sensory interpretations. It is essential for both Israel and the Diaspora to shape a narrative that helps the non-Jewish world grasp the events involving Israelis and Jews, both within Israel and globally. Equally crucial is the coverage and frequency of these narratives, as they will greatly influence the global impact of the message.
Amid the complexity of our reality, our narrative remains relatively simple. For many years, Jews lived as the "people of the book" in Arab countries. However, following the establishment of Israel in 1948, Jews were forced to flee for their safety. The 1.2 billion Arabs surrounding Israel have generally viewed its existence unfavorably, though the vast majority have accepted its reality and moved on.
Some of the most important factors we must take into account are the following:In 1979, fundamentalist Shia Muslims overthrew the Shah of Iran and established the Islamic Republic of Iran. Since then, Iran has pursued two primary goals: (1) the creation and expansion of a global Caliphate under its control, and (2) the destruction of Israel, the first and most significant obstacle, by declaring a "holy war" (Jihad) aimed at eradicating it. Iran has waged this war indirectly through proxies such as Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Islamic Jihad, thereby shielding itself from direct retaliation. However, a few weeks ago, Iran launched a direct attack on Israel, which may now give Israel the legitimacy to respond accordingly.
The Biden administration mistakenly unfroze $16 billion of Iranian assets held in U.S. banks and lifted the economic embargo on Iran. Since then, Iran has earned billions more from oil sales to countries like China, North Korea, and Russia. These funds have fueled the rapid and aggressive expansion of its proxy forces. Since October 7, 2023, these proxies have been responsible for the murder, abuse, kidnapping, and missile attacks targeting Israeli civilians—infants, children, men, women, and the elderly—day after day.
In parallel with arming its proxies, Iran, supported by countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Syria, Afghanistan, Turkey, and others, has employed a two-pronged strategy. First, it has facilitated the migration of hundreds of thousands of its citizens to cities across Europe and America. Second, it has infiltrated media, social networks, banks, businesses, academia, local governments, and international institutions, all with the aim of promoting antisemitism, anti-Zionism, and anti-Judeo-Christian ideologies. Simultaneously, Iran has worked to position its proxies as "freedom fighters" in the global narrative.
Given this reality, the narrative and actions for year 2025 should be:
1. EXPANSION OF THE CALIPHATE
Fundamentalist Arabs have been migrating to Europe and America, significantly impacting local traditions and the electoral landscape in many cities. Arab financial groups have acquired stakes in international media, banks, businesses, and academia, granting them considerable influence over policymaking. Their goal is not to integrate into a Judeo-Christian civilization but to advance the agenda of Muslimizing the world.2. IRAN
In recent years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has leveraged newfound resources to fund its proxies, enabling them to construct military facilities hidden within civilian infrastructure, particularly in schools and hospitals. These proxies have amassed modern weapons, bombs, missiles, and drones. While they have long targeted Israeli civilians, their assaults escalated dramatically on October 7, 2023.
3. DOUBLE BIND
A central component of their strategy is to provoke a response from Israel. Once they succeed, they retreat to their hideouts beneath civilian structures—schools, hospitals, and residential buildings—anticipating that the Israeli military will inevitably harm the civilians used as human shields. This creates an optimal environment for compromised institutions and organizations to frame these actions as indiscriminate attacks on civilians to incite antisemitic and anti zionist massive demonstrations worldwide.
4. CALL TO ACTION
Israel must remain resolute, and the Diaspora must support Israel while actively defending its own interests. Judeo-Christian civilization must unite behind Israel and firmly confront the threat posed by Iran. It is also crucial to neutralize non-incumbent powers such as China, Russia, North Korea, and other Arab countries in order to limit the war enemies to Iran and its proxies. Together, this coalition stands a better chance of defeating evil. Act, act, act and act!https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/the-battle-of-2025/
